Insurance and Prescriptions

Insurance Policy

We are an out of network provider and we accept payment from the client at the time of service. You will be responsible for payment at the time of your visit—we accept cash, checks, debit or credit cards, and HSA cards (all cards are processed at a 3% bank fee). Depending upon your insurance plan you may also have benefits for out-of-network physical therapy services. It will be your responsibility to contact your insurance company to determine your policy benefits. We will supply you with a Super Bill and any related documentation requested by your insurance company. It will be your responsibility to resolve any filing or reimbursement issues. We are not participants with Medicare. Letters of necessity for coverage, disability, or accident claims will be written for a fee.

Prescription Policy

In the state of Virginia, you can be evaluated and treated by a physical therapist for 30 business days without a prescription. After this period is up, you will need a prescription from a physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, chiropractor, or oral surgeon. Please note your provider may require you to have an office visit in order to provide you with a prescription, this varies by provider. If you are submitting for insurance reimbursement, it is best to inquire if a prescription is required prior to the onset of treatment.
